The First Race of the Season is Today...

...and it's SNOWING.  Granted, the snow isn't sticking, and in fact, Sally and I have run in MUCH colder weather this year, but still...  Snow?  I've never raced in snow.

To tell you the truth, though, it looks pretty.  I'm starting to get excited about it.

If you're wondering, the race is the four-mile Stratford YMCA Sweetheart Run.  A short race, yes, but also VERY hilly.  It's a circular course that climbs probably six-hundred feet in that four miles, including one stretch that is at least a 14% grade.  We ran the course a few weeks ago, and it was awesome, but that last climb is always intimidating.  Mental toughness is an absolute necessity.

I let you know how it goes later today.
