I actually still like that idea and think this whole concept would work best as a set of subclasses of either Fighter, Rogue, or Mage, but writing it up that way was a less compelling design challenge. So this is a (hopefully) interesting write-up but probably not the best execution of the idea. Danno E. Only thing is the HP/hit dice. 1d10 is just too much, try 1d8 for more class balance.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07321537756377909037noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2130572569541182865.post-22257767459541479952014-01-31T16:57:14.559-05:002014-01-31T16:57:14.559-05:00They don't talk in terms of squares on a gamin...They don't talk in terms of squares on a gaming grid in the Playtest, they talk in terms of feet, lines, cones, etc. similar to what they did back in the day. So that is what I did--or tried to do. Thus, "linear" isn't a term of art, I simply meant "in a straight line."<br /><br />But seriously, this is pedantic. Use whatever term you want; I don't care. And anyway, the thing is just an idea. It's not even an UNofficial part of the rules. Danno E.
