Memoir

Danno E. Cabeza, Senior Writer and Editor at AsForFootball.Com, tells his story in this revised edition of the memoir that first appeared serialized on his blog. This is a story about loneliness, family, and the search for belonging, often in the unlikeliest of places. Yes, it's a West Point story, but this is definitely not a war story. This is a story about sports and camaraderie while finding one's place in the world.

Swim, Bike, Run, Live, Love, Repeat

I’d wanted to repackage my memoir for a good long while, and I finally did it. I know a bunch of you already read parts of this story from when it was serialized on here on the blog, and honestly, I was really happy with the reception that the story got back when I first released it.  However, I also know that most folks cherry-picked the parts of this story that interested them -- and that the serialized presentation itself somewhat encouraged that.

And yeah, I initially wrote this story for myself and my kids.  But I then spent so much time editing the draft once I had it that I got completely invested in the storytelling of the final product.  Alas, the serialized, cherry-picked reading disrupted the storytelling as a whole, and here we are with a new, now-collected final edition.

At this point, I just want you to read this thing, for better or worse.

Do me a favor, and let me know what you think. If I can get 15 reviews, Amazon’s algorithm will automatically push the book, which would be pretty damn cool.

Thanks in advance.
