Ski East Coast

I suffer from a little seasonal depression.  I say this not because I've seen a therapist and gotten a diagnosis but simply because I really struggle at times living in the Northeast when the weather starts to get cold and dark.  The  "Gloom Period" still gets to me.  And really, I don't mind the cold so much.  It's all those dismal gray days, the ones that start at 7:15 and end at 4:00 pm.

That's hard for me.

It doesn't help that I work in a windowless office inside a literal hidden bunker in Manhattan.

It's easy enough in the summer because I bike-commute.  I'm on the bike for almost an hour every day, I get plenty of sun and fresh air while I'm out there, and it helps a lot with office life.  I'm on the bike in the winter, too, but because of those late mornings and early evenings, there's a lot less sun.

We ski.  In fact, as we get older, I find myself wanting to ski more and more.  Not because I'm some daredevil thrill-seeker but because I really like spending time out on the slopes in the sun.  I'm actually a snowboader, again not because I'm some radical dude but because I find snowboarding to be a little easier on my knees.

Anyway, this tab archives our adventures with an emphasis on specific resorts along the East Coast, mostly in Vermont, Massachusetts, and Connecticut.  We ski a lot, so we ski where we live.  Hence the name -- Ski East Coast.

We're also members of Stratford's Sterling Ski Club, a part of the Connecticut Ski Council.  Highly recommended for Connecticut-based skiers.
