Weekly Schedule
The problem with this blog, to the extent that there is one, is that it's not about anything. Or rather, it's not about any one thing. It's about lots of stuff because that's what I like--lots of stuff. And while I have this feeling that the blog itself would be more successful if I just made it a blog about something, the fact is that I personally would go crazy writing about the same one topic every single day, so bottom line, that's out. Completely.
The downside of that, however, is that on any given day, it's hard to know exactly what you're going to find here. With that in mind, I've set up a schedule for some of the blog's regular weekly features. Whatever structure exists on this blog, it exists there.
- Monday: Triathlon Training Log.
Why would you want to read my training log? Two reasons: first, if you're also a triathlete, and you might want to compare notes. Second, I post a goodly number of workouts here, so if you're looking for a specific kind of workout, you can look for one of mine; that's why I put them up.
- Tuesday: Original Fiction.
I like to write, and if I could change one thing about myself, it'd be that I'd like to write more fiction and actually see it through to completion. But it's really hard to do that on the blog, especially because of most of the writing I do for this blog is stuff that I either type up on my train ride into work or stuff that I scratch out on my phone when I have a few minutes here or there. A better writer than me could probably maintain a coherent through-line on a piece of ongoing fiction, even under those circumstances, but I find it difficult, especially if I'm not writing for a specific audience--and I rarely write for anyone specific besides myself.
Lately I've been posting original, homebrewed D&D content on Tuesdays. I've been doing that both because I'm really intrigued by the D&D Next development process and because the folks who find this place via the various D&D-related material I put up tend to be voracious and loyal readers. Bottom line, I don't think I'm the only one interested in D&D Next, and indeed, the D&D Next Google+ Community has been a consistently good read ever since I discovered it.
- Friday: Friday Hair Metal and Friday Mad Science.
I love hair metal and like to start the last day of the work week with some in the morning when I'm getting ready for work. I post whatever I'm listening to that morning to the blog before heading out for work. And that's Friday Hair Metal.
Friday Mad Science is my weekly look at the news of the week that caught my eye. A lot of times that's something on the national political scene, but it can be anything, and often is.
- Sunday: Sunday Comics.
This is defunct. If you're interested in reading all of Bronx Angel (or merely the part that I didn't post when Sunday Comics was a going concern), let me know. Fact it, I didn't feel like BA was finding much of an audience, and more to the point, I'm keenly aware that the politics of story is at odds with the feelings of a lot of my friends.
I may be an occasionally raving liberal, but I'm trying not to rub peoples' faces in it.

Well, this blog is about you. Events, thoughts and stories that are informative and entertaining. Also, while we've never met in person, we've known each other for a pretty long time and it's a nice way to keep up with you. :D
