This Morning's Workout...

...was a swim/run brick:

Swim
5 x 100 @ 1:30 warm up
200 kick

1000 yard timer

50 easy

100 easy kick

50 easy

8 x 50 @ 1:05 alternating fly/free
 -- Fly 50s @ 95% effort


I finished the timer in 12:36.  That's a little like saying that it was really a set of 10 x 100 @ :00 rest, holding between 1:15 and 1:16.

My buddy Ben came in for the last set and for the run.  We both did the 50s fly in about :32 or :33.

Run
30 minutes aerobic @ 9:00/mile pace.

This morning's run route
That worked out to be just over 30 minutes of running.  It took me a good twelve minutes to get warmed up, but we finished strong, and I felt good afterwards.

Here's to getting back in the saddle.

  2. So far, so good. There's a tendon running across the front of my shin that's a little tender, but that's it. I'm happy.
