R-Day

It's Reception Day for the West Point Class of 2020.  Later this morning, the New Cadets will start their four year slog, and for the past few years, West Point has live-tweeted the events.

For those of us in the Class of 1995, this week marks the 25th anniversary.  We reported on July 1st, so for us, Friday is the day.  I'm meeting my buddy Brian in the City at Reichenbach Hall around noon to toast the occasion.  By that time on R-Day, events are well under way.

Twenty-five years!  I still can't get over it.  Graduation and my Army service still feel like they could have happened last week, but R-Day?

That was a different life.  Rather, it was the end of one life and the beginning of another.

Good luck, New Cadets!
