#GrillGeek

My wife wants me to write a grilling cookbook.  Been after me for years to get started.  I have the first ten thousand words down in draft, and I have an idea about how to move forward, which is good. However, the working version reads more like a grilling memoir than an actual cook book, to the point that I felt like I needed to spend some more time grilling before pressing into the meat of the story.

See what I did there?

Anyway, we're in the experimental stages right now.  I started an Instagram account for the project called Grill Geek: Playing with Fire (@GrillGeek_PWF), and at this point, I'm just sort of collecting ideas.  Follow along if you like.  This tab archives my progress in a more deliberate way.

Update: As of November 2019, I've decided to bolt #beertography -- i.e. beer photography -- onto this project as a kind of sidecar.

Since starting the cook book, I've taken up photography as a hobby.   I plan to use As For Football's coming offseason to not only write some more but to shoot pictures of beer as well.  Not sure how that's going to change the final product, nor is it an immediate concern.  For now, this is a fun hobby into which I'd like to invite each and every one of you.

These are archived from a few years ago.  I learn best by writing about new things.  These are from when I first started getting into craft beer.
